Why did you decide to become an Astrobiologist?
It began with childhood exposure to geology through museums, national parks. In high school I took an ecology course and really liked it, and then followed up with a geoscience course under the same teacher. After that I decided to study geology at university, but my interest in the bigger picture questions remained
If your lab/research group had a nickname, what would it be?
Just "Hernlund Lab" ... but I should think of something better!
