Why did you decide to become an Astrobiologist?
Astrobiology was growing rapidly at the time I came to do a postdoc at NASA Ames.ย  It was a natural fit for my interest in studying how microorganisms affect and are affected by the chemistry of their environment

If your lab/research group had a nickname, what would it be?
The Notorious BRG (Bioenergetics Research Group)
